The “everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-being-an-author” slide presentation. Munson enjoys the opportunity to share with students the surprising revelations about the writing and publishing process. Rejection letters, writer’s block or the fact that sometimes he’d rather be changing his baby’s diaper than writing…None of the things that a “real writer” would ever experience…Or are they?

From the first thoughts of the Enemy Pie story, to the arrival of the book on newsstands, this presentation:

1. Traces the steps of Enemy Pie from concept phase through the publication process
2. Explores some wacky ideas about creativity
3. Provides students with the chance to ask tons of brilliant questions

This assembly lasts approximately 40 to 45 minutes, and works well with any size group.
